The CUPA Forum Board (CFB) has been recipient to money designated for training or specifically for the annual CUPA Conference from a variety of enforcement cases. In most situations, court settlements specify conditions for the allocation of funds for training/conference costs and the CFB is restricted from distributions outside of the court's direction. A majority of the funds are allocated for use by Unified Program Agencies and are intended to train technical staff or assist in funding travel and expenses at the annual CUPA Conference.

Scholarship applications were due on or before October 13, 2023 with Manager approval.  The 2023 scholarship application process for the CUPA-2024 conference in now closed. For those who did submit their scholarship application, the next steps in the process are for your CUPA Manager to approve your application.  After that, it is sent to the CUPA Conference Team for a Final Review.  Once this is completed, your application will be approved or in rare cases declined.  Finally, to the complete the process, you must click on the green button in your Member Dashboard and "Accept your scholarship to become registered".  That completes the conference registration process.  Lastly, make sure you obtained lodging by going to the Conference Venue information page and booking your lodging reservation (if you are staying overnight per your scholarship application).  

Scholarships are available for CUPA and PA technical staff only, and cover the costs for registration fees. Independent contractors DO NOT qualify for scholarships.

As a reminder to CUPA Managers, your agency will be required to cover 50% of the actual scholarship reimbursed amount (including registration). We can invoice in April 2024, reimburse at 50%, or you can decide to cover specific costs like the registration fee or travel costs.

Award notices will be emailed to individuals and managers in December. Scholarship recipients are required to provide an overall conference evaluation and individual session evaluations for each Session attended.

SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS:  Since we are holding an IN PERSON Conference in 2024, every scholarship recipient will be required to volunteer for at least one of the many assignments for this conference.  More information will be provided in the scholarship announcement and award letter.

You are currently not eligible to apply for a scholarship. In order to apply, you must be either a CUPA, PA or Retired CFB EB. Please contact your manager about your eligibility.

Conference surveys help us prepare for each training conference. Please submit a conference evaluation on your last day of the training conference to let us know how we are doing. Please note that this conference survey is required for all scholarship recipients.
