ABBY BURTON, Senior Environmental Analyst - ERG, Inc. Abby Burton is a senior environmental analyst at Eastern Research Group, Inc. She supports EPA Region 9s work with the Toxics Release Inventory (TRI), conducting data quality outreach, assisting with TRI training webinars, and supporting other regional TRI needs. Ms. Burton also supports TRI work for EPA Headquarters, such as development of the annual TRI National Analysis. She is currently studying to become a credentialled EPCRA inspector. BAVNEET BENIPAL, Sr. Environmental Scientist - Consultant Bavneet Benipal is a Sr. Environmental Scientist in the Waste Evaluation and Recycling Unit of the Hazardous Waste Management Program at the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC). In her current position, she provides trainings on Waste Classification and Hazardous Waste Recycling, develop regulatory guidance and provides regulatory assistance to regulated agencies and regulated businesses. Previously, she was in the Enforcement and Emergency Response Division of DTSC, where she managed inspection projects of environmental law violations and potential threats to public health and the environment. Her previous work experience also includes Adjunct Professor position at Life Chiropractic College West, Hayward, CA where she instructed health care professional students in Public Health, Histology and Microbiology labs and gave lecture presentations in Toxicology courses. Bavneet received her B.S in Biochemistry from University of Michigan and her PhD in Pharmacology from Wayne State University. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship in Institute for Environmental Medicine at University of Pennsylvania. During her research career, she published several research articles in scientific journals and gave research presentations at regional and national scientific conferences. |

I specialize in Process Safety Management (PSM), Risk Management Program (RMP), and California Accidental Prevention Program regulatory compliance and have helped industrial facilities across the country run their chemical systems safer for over ten years. Today, I work with facilities to develop comprehensive chemical management programs from the ground up that are site specific, accurate, and effective. This work also includes performing Three Year Compliance Audits to review existing programs for gaps, and facilitating Process Hazard Analysis Studies to evaluate chemical processes for opportunities to mitigate risk. DANIEL STOEHR, Owner/Training Provider - Daniels Training Services Daniel Stoehr is the owner and sole training provider for Daniels Training Services. He has over twenty-five years of experience with the environmental health and safety regulations at the state and federal level. Daniel has provided training and consulting services nationwide to businesses and government agencies to ensure their compliance with USEPA regulations for the management of waste, USDOT regulations for the transport of hazardous materials within the U.S., and the international regulations for the transportation of dangerous goods in the global economy. The state-specific regulations of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) for the management of waste present a special challenge in California. This is a challenge that Daniel has met by researching the California Code of Regulations (CCR) and the California Health and Safety Code (HSC) applicable to the management of all waste in California. He has also sought the input and guidance from a variety of sources including attendance at several past CalCUPA Forums. Utilizing this knowledge he has provided professional training services to a variety of industry and government agencies in California over the past several years.
